La Icam di Putignano (BA) mette a punto sistemi, elementi e soluzioni di magazzinaggio. I sistemi semplici comprendono le tradizionali scaffalature, nelle soluzioni per carichi leggeri (zincato/verniciato, saldato/smontato, a ripiani/pianetti) e per carichi pesanti (portapallet, a ripiani, cantilever). I sistemi composti, sulla base dei moduli standard delle scaffalature semplici, realizzano soluzioni articolate per usi specifici come soppalchi, camminamenti, strutture per magazzini automatici, drive in (magazzino LIFO), gravità (FIFO/LIFO). Fra l’altro, Icam mette a punto sistemi compattabili, per il massimo sfruttamento delle aree disponibili, e sistemi verticali, che includono le soluzioni rotanti e traslanti per lo stoccaggio di grandi volumi in minimi spazi.

Icam of Putignano (Bari) develops warehousing systems, elements and solutions. Its simpler systems include conventional shelving, in versions for light loads (galvanized/painted, welded/knock-down, shelves/platforms) and for heavy loads (pallet holders, shelving, cantilevers). Its more complex systems use standard simple shelving modules and create articulated solutions for specific uses such as suspended flooring, gangways, structures for automatic warehouses, drive-in (LIFO stores) and gravity (FIFO/LIFO) systems. Among other things, Icam also develops compatible systems for maximum exploitation of the available space and vertical systems that include rotating and translating systems for the storage of large volumes in minimum space.

Intralox ha messo a punto quattro nuovi modelli di nastri trasportatori modulari di plastica, progettati per ridurre le esigenze di manutenzione e migliorare la movimentazione dei prodotti sia in fase di processo che di confezionamento. La serie 800 si arricchisce del Flush Grid, che combina resistenza all’usura e facilità di pulizia ed è stato progettato per prevenire l’accumulo di residui e agevolare il drenaggio dell’acqua in eccesso, grazie al particolare disegno dei fori e all’elevata percentuale di area aperta. L’800 Mesh Top, invece, presenta delle piccole fessure (1 mm di larghezza e 12,9 di lunghezza) che minimizzano la perdita di prodotti di piccole dimensioni come riso, verdure a dadini ecc., e permettono di scolare i liquidi senza ostruire i fori. Un cenno, infine, alla Serie 2400 1.7 Tight Turning Radius, robusta e flessibile anche su tratti lunghi e ininterrotti, che può movimentare prodotti delicati, e alla Serie 1400 Roller Top, che facilita l’accumulo di scatole e confezioni in condizioni di bassa pressione di ritorno.
| | Plastic conveyor belts
Intralox has come up with four new models of modular plastic conveyor belts, designed to reduce the need for maintenance and to improve the movement of the products both during processing and subsequent packaging. The 800 series has been enhanced with the Flush Grid, combining durability and easy-cleaning, designed to prevent the build-up of residues and to make it easier to drain off any excess water, especially thanks to the particular design of the holes and the high percentage of open space. The 800 Mesh Top, on the other hand, has small slits (1 mm wide and 12.9 long) that minimise the loss of small products such as rice, chopped vegetables etc., and make it possible to drain off liquids without clogging up the holes. Finally, we must mention the Series 2400 1.7 Tight Turning Radius, a strong, flexible conveyor belt, suitable for long, unbroken stretches ideal for handling delicate products, and the Series 1400 Roller Top, that makes it easier to collect boxes and packs in conditions of low return pressure.

I telai modulari di profilato modello MB Item prevedono diverse possibilità di connessione, in grado di accogliere guide lineari, azionamenti, componenti pneumatici, ecc. Fra gli altri, i collegamenti standard permettono, con una sola vite, di unire ad angolo retto due profilati, applicando la forza ottimale di serraggio (secondo il principio dell’accoppiamento dinamico) e assicurando la resistenza alla torsione. I collegamenti universali, invece, possono essere realizzati in ogni punto del profilato e, in fase di montaggio, il tassello scorrevole si può inserire e regolare anche a posteriori nella scanalatura. Il connettore universale (brevettato) funge da reggispinta e sfrutta appieno la forza di serraggio; inoltre è particolarmente idoneo per l’utilizzo in coppia. Item fornisce anche collegamenti automatici, che rendono superflua la lavorazione meccanica delle estremità dei profili, collegamenti che sopportano vibrazioni sovrapposte e sistemi di collegamento modulari per alberi.

The MB Item modular profile frames allow for various different connection solutions, capable of accepting linear guides, drives, pneumatic components, etc. Among the others, the standard connections make it possible to use just one screw to join two profiles at right angles, applying the best torque (according to the principle of dynamic coupling) and guaranteeing torsional strength. The universal connections, on the other hand, can be created at all points in the profile and the sliding block can be inserted and adjusted during installation in the grooves subsequently. The universal connector (patented) acts as a thrust block and fully exploits the torque; moreover, it’s especially suited for use in pairs. Item also supplies automatic connections that do away with the need for mechanical tooling of the ends of the profile, connections that withstand overhead vibrations and modular connection systems for shafts.

I magazzini Mega della Space sono disegnati per offrire un accesso totale al prodotto stoccato, con una sola e semplice manovra. Dopo aver scelto il corridoio che si intende utilizzare, è sufficiente premere uno dei pulsanti luminosi di marcia e i carrelli iniziano a muoversi creando il corridoio di prelievo desiderato. L’apertura del corridoio può avvenire anche tramite telecomando radio a bordo carrello. Interfacciando l’impianto al sistema gestionale del magazzino, si potranno anche controllare direttamente le aperture, chiusure e tutte le fasi di movimentazione delle basi mobili, comunicando in radiofrequenza al carrellista il prodotto da prelevare o immagazzinare. Una cura particolare è stata dedicata ai sistemi di sicurezza, che comprendono protezioni antischiacciamento, fotocellule di sbarramento, pulsanti per l’arresto di emergenza, pulsante di reset o ripristino, segnalazioni acustiche e luminose lampeggianti, temporizzazione.

The Mega warehouses produced by Space have been designed to offer total access to the stored product in just one, simple move. After selecting the corridor one wants to use, simply press one of the luminous start buttons and the trucks start moving, creating the pickup corridor required. The corridor can also be opened by using the onboard radio remote control. On interfacing this system to the warehouse management system, one can also directly control the opening, closing and all stages of movement of the mobile bases, communicating details of the product to be picked up or stored to the truck driver via radio-frequency. Special care has been taken in the design of the safety systems, including crush protection, barrier photocells, emergency stop buttons, reset or clear buttons, acoustic and luminous flashing warnings and timers.

Montrac, dell’omonima divisione della Montech Ltd, è un sistema di trasporto monorotaia a carrelli semoventi (shuttle o navette), che presenta una portata di 12 kg e dimensioni massime dei pallet di 300x400 mm. Concepito come sistema modulare, è composto di elementi standardizzati che permettono di realizzare qualsiasi configurazione di trasporto, per collegare fra loro stazioni di lavorazione, macchine, posti di deposito ecc. Gli shuttle circolano sul trac (la monorotaia) e possono percorrere diverse tratte individuali, con fermate secondo le esigenze; sono azionati elettricamente e raggiungono una velocità di traslazione di 30 m/min. Il loro concetto di azionamento permette l’accelerazione progressiva all’avviamento, un trasporto senza vibrazioni e una decelerazione dolce, consentendo al sistema di movimentare anche prodotti o liquidi particolarmente difficili.
| | Monorail transportation system
Montrac, of the Montech Ltd division bearing the same name, is a monorail transpiration system with semi-automated trolleys (shuttle or relay), that has a loadbearing of 12 kg and max size of pallet of 300x400 mm. Conceived as a modular system it is made up of standardised elements that enable one to create any transport configuration, in order to connect up processing stations, machines, deposits etc. The shuttles circle on a track (monorail) and can run on a variety of individual stretches with stops inserted as needed; the are electronically controlled and reach a speed of 30 m/min. Their operational mode enables a progressive acceleration after start-up, vibration free transportation and gentle slowdown, enabling the system to shift difficult products or liquids.

Lan Rul presenta la sua linea di rulli per il settore delle macchine automatiche, composta di molti modelli progettati per rispondere a specifiche esigenze di impiego. Per la loro realizzazione sono usati acciaio, acciaio inox, alluminio o PVC a seconda delle esigenze, con rivestimenti diversi e differenti soluzioni di ancoraggio alle strutture portanti. Accanto a questa linea di prodotti, Lan Rul ha sviluppato anche soluzioni per la movimentazione, che si differenziano dalle precedenti soprattutto per una maggiore dimensione e portata, oltre che per la più frequente diffusione di rulli motorizzati accessoriati con corone, pignoni dentati, cinghie o cordini. Lan Rul presents its line of rollers for the automated machine sector, consisting of many models designed to meet specific needs and applications. They can be made from steel, stainless steel, aluminium or PVC depending on specific requirements, with different finishes and solutions for anchoring these to the load-bearing structures. Alongside this product line, Lan Rul has also developed solutions for goods handling that differ from the previous products thanks mainly to their greater size and load capacity, as well as the more frequent use of accessorized driven rollers with crowns, toothed pinions, belts or ropes. Various types of protection are added to the basic material, such as galvanizing, chrome-plating and vulcanizing, resanitisation, PVC or adiprene coating.

Le strutture per magazzino Super 1-2 e 3 della Metalsistem sono state studiate per risolvere le problematiche dello stoccaggio leggero - ovvero con un occhio di riguardo a velocità di montaggio, stabilità, costo e portata - dando al tempo stesso la possibilità di realizzare strutture a passerella (nella versione Super 3). La loro caratteristica tipica è di essere a incastro e compatibili fra loro. Forme e caratteristiche dei vari componenti sono state messe a punto dopo prove e verifiche tecniche, frutto di una lunga esperienza nella lavorazione dei metalli. In particolare, la forma e la disposizione delle nervature di rinforzo consentono di ottenere notevoli prestazioni e portate con il minimo utilizzo di materia prima. L’impiego di lamiera zincata e preverniciata garantisce la durata nel tempo del prodotto.
| | Warehouse structures
The Super 1-2 and 3 warehouse structures from Metalsistem have been designed to resolve the problems of light storage - i.e., with an eye to fast assembly, stability, cost and load capacity - while offering the chance to create gangway structures (in the Super 3 version) at the same time. These are slot-in and compatible systems. The shapes and characteristics of the various components have been revised after tests and technical trials, representing the fruit of long experience in metal working. In particular, the shape and layout of the reinforcement ribbing allow for considerably high performance and load capacity with minimal use of raw materials. The use of galvanized, pre-painted sheet metal guarantees a long life for the product.

Il nuovo sensore a fibra ottica della Keyence, basato sul principio RGB, è in grado di rilevare tacche colorate e discriminare qualsiasi oggetto in base al colore. I tre led che emettono luce blu, verde e rossa permettono di eseguire l’identificazione su tutta la scala cromatica, rilevando anche minime differenze di tonalità. Il sensore è indifferente alle vibrazioni dell’oggetto da rilevare e alle differenze di distanza, e viene tipicamente utilizzato per il riconoscimento di tappi di plastica di colore diverso, o il rilevamento del punto di saldatura su lattine e altri contenitori metallici. Il settaggio del sensore si effettua in autoapprendimento: premendo semplicemente un tasto, il sensore registra la quantità di luce riflessa per ciascun colore, permettendo una rapida regolazione. L’amplificatore può memorizzare fino a 8 colori diversi, richiamabili dall’esterno tramite un selettore o PLC. Keyence è rappresentata da S.C. Automazione.
| | Colored mark reader
The new fibre-optic sensor from Keyence, based on the RGB principle, can detect colored marks and distinguish any object on the basis of its color. The three leds that emit blue, green and red light let the sensor identify items using the full chromatic scale, detecting even minimal differences in shade. The sensor is unaffected by vibrations in the objects to be detected or differences in distance and is typically used to recognise plastic tops of different colors or welding spots on cans and other metal containers. The sensors are set via a teach-in process: simply press a button and the sensor records the quantity of light reflected by each colour, making for fast adjustment. The amplifier can save up to 8 different colors, recalled externally via a selector switch or PLC. Keyence is represented in Italy by S.C. Automazione.
