Trucks in the Centre/North of Italy
Rapid response right across Italy and an unbeatable fleet for leasing in terms of quality and range: these are the competitive advantages behind the growth of CLS-CGT Logistica Sistemi, the Hyster dealer for North and Central Italy. In 2005 alone the company (with 8 branches and 7 operating centres) saw a rise of 7% in its leasing contracts and an increase of 12% in its service and spare-parts area. Thanks to the good trend in these segments, CLS has decided to further extend its already vast offer of Hyster fork-lift trucks (150 models with lifting capacity of 1-48 t), as well as intensifying its attention on the area of ports, interports and logistics companies, where the large capacity CLS Hyster thermal trucks are a reliable answer for all needs when it comes to handling heavy loads.

Dieci anni d'oro

A golden decade
In 2005, European consumption of pressure sensitive labels increased by 3.2 per cent, a total of 4905 m2. Compared with the results of recent years, the statistic indicates an approximate growth of 72% over the past decade. This was revealed last June at Finat’s annual convention, in Warsaw. The association, representing producers of pressure sensitive labels, in fact conducted a study on market progress over the past trading year and a temporary analysis on the current one. In terms of media, the most notable increase was made by plastic materials in reels (+13), followed by cellulose-based materials in reels (+5). On a decrease, however, were paper media (-4.5% paper, -2.4% films). From a geographical point of view, the hottest area comprises East Europoean countries, with an increase in per capita consumption from just 2 m2 (versus 14 in the UK and Ireland, who are at the top of the classifications) to 12.6% in 2005. Southern Europe, on the other hand, recorded a modest +2.4, with a per capita consumption of 6 m2.
And in the future? – The widespread pessimism that affected the market in early 2005 sharply inverted mid-year, with improved performance by converters and suppliers of raw materials alike. Simultaneously, 2006 predictions estimate a growth of 5.5-6%, led mainly by materials in reels (+4.5% paper, +15% film), with a decline of paper ones (+1-2% but –10- 12% film). This year should re-confirm the record growth of Eastern Europe (+15%), with better performance also by Southern Europe (+4- 5%). Jules Lejeune, director of Finat, added: “Economic signs revealed by Eurostat suggest greater expectations in terms of production, with slightly fewer orders and an essentially stable situation for stock and finished products.”
