| | | | | | Few words How nice it would be if all ended well for everyone. For those who believe that peace can subdue violence and for those who believe that force can free good from evil. For the many who grieve for the loss of a loved one and for the many who wish to defend their childrens future. How nice it would be if we could separate the wheat from the chaff: if truth were not the appanage of fanatics and falsehood the interest of the unsuspectable. What would happen if the powerful set themselves to satisfying human desire? If the outcasts, returning to life, were to become bearers of tolerance? What would happen if the dictatorships ran out of uniforms to decorate? And if democracy became the practise of the greatest good for the greatest number? No longer that which we do not want. No longer shame (for that which we refuse to see). No longer anguish of imminent threats (from man rather than destiny). No longer. No longer. In exchange, only the serene awareness of not having wasted an existence. Not even one, not even ones own. | | | | |
