| PREMIAZIONI Tra i vincitori del Sappi European Printers of Year 2006 spiccano quattro nomi italiani, a testimoniare la qualità della stampa “made in Italy”. |
Con uno sfavillante galà nel municipio di Stoccolma, dove ogni anno si tiene il ricevimento per l’assegnazione del Nobel, Sappi ha festeggiato in giugno i vincitori del Sappi European Printers of Year 2006. Tra i 38 stampatori premiati figurano anche quattro italiani, che si sono distinti al pari degli altri vincitori per l’elevato livello qualitativo delle loro realizzazioni, per le finiture speciali, per il sapiente utilizzo dei retini e le diverse combinazioni di verniciatura (piena, UV e con riserve), inchiostri metallici, stampa su lamina, goffrature, fustellature, rilegature e pieghe speciali. I vincitori delle nove medaglie d’oro, assegnate alla crème de la crème di ciascuna categoria, dovranno ora confrontarsi con gli stampatori premiati negli altri continenti, tutti in lizza per l’assegnazione del Sappi International Printers of the Year, che ogni anno “laurea” il migliore stampatore del mondo, su supporti Sappi.
La cerimonia di premiazione finale si terrà in ottobre a Budapest (H). Tra loro, a tenere alto il nome italiano, Giuseppe Musmeci di Fontegrafica, premiato a Stoccolma con la medaglia d’oro nella categoria “Autopromozione dello stampatore”. Di seguito, proponiamo una sintetica panoramica di tutti i vincitori italiani.
• Fontegrafica (Cinisello Balsamo, MI)
Oro nella categoria autopromozione dello stampatore - Il calendario Alice 2006 realizzato da Fontegrafica è caratterizzato da una copertina pop-up completa di brochure e compact disc. Le tecniche di stampa utilizzate comprendono offset a foglio, flessografia e serigrafia, con una grande varietà di retini speciali, goffratura, stampa in lamina, profumazioni, accoppiamento olografico, inchiostri metallici, verniciatura piena, UV e con riserva, tecniche speciali di fustellatura, piegatura e rilegatura. Diverse, infine, le carte utilizzate, tra le quali anche Hello Gloss e Hello Silk fornita da Polyedra.
• Grafiche S.I.Z.
(Santa Maria di Zevio, VR)
Bronzo nella categoria libri - “U Cape of Good Dope”, prodotto in edizione limitata da Grafiche S.I.Z., presenta una serie di immagini e montaggi fuori dal comune. La stampa in quadricromia è realizzata con offset a foglio, verniciatura UV con riserva, serigrafia e rilegatura speciale, utilizzando carta Hello Silk e Hello Gloss fornita da Polyedra.
• Gruppo Graficonsul
(Sansepolcro, AR)
Argento nella categoria packaging ed etichette - La confezione Pilsner Urquell Box realizzata per Birra Peroni e accompagnata da un bicchiere promozionale, è stampata in quadricromia con offset a foglio, verniciatura UV con riserva e serigrafia e stampa in lamina d’oro. La carta utilizzata è la Sappi Hello Silk fornita da Polyedra.
• Fantigrafica (Cremona)
Bronzo nella categoria calendari - Il calendario “Cremona 1206-2006” celebra l’800mo anniversario del municipio con immagini del patrimonio culturale e architettonico della città lombarda. Fantigrafica ha stampato il calendario a sei colori su una offset a foglio utilizzando carta HannoArt Silk fornita da Grossi Carta di Mantova.

AWARDS Four Italian names feature among the winners of the Sappi European Printers of the Year 2006, bearing witness to the quality of Italian printing.
With a glittering gala event at the Stockholm city hall, the same that each year hosts the Nobel prize reception, in June Sappi celebrated the winners of the Sappi European Printers for the Year 2006.
Four Italian printers featured among the 38 printers who were given awards, the four having distinguished themselves on a par with the other winners for the level of quality of their creations, for the special finishes, for their skilful use of screens and the different combinations of lacquers (full, UV and with reserve), metallic inks, print on lamina, embossing, diecutting, special binding and folding.
The winners of the nine gold medals, awarded to the crème de la crème of each category, will have to compete with the printers who came top in the other continents, all competing for the Sappi International Printers of the Year Award that each year “qualifies” the best printer of the world on Sappi substrates. The final award ceremony will be held in October at Budapest (H). Among the above, holding Italy’s name high, Giuseppe Musmeci of Fontegrafica, who at Stockholm received the gold medal in the category “Selfpromotion of the printer”. Gold in the selfpromoting of the printer category - The Alice calendar 2006 made by Fontegrafica features a pop-up cover complete with brochure and compact disk. The print techniques used include sheet offset, flexography and screenprint, with a great variety of special screens, embossing, print on sheet metal, scents, holographic laminations, metalllic ink, full lacquering, UV with reserve, special diecutting, folding and binding techniques. A series of papers, including Hello Gloss and Hello Silk provided by Polyedra were used.
• Grafiche S.I.Z.
(Santa Maria di Zevio, VR)
Bronze in the book category - “U Cape of Good Dope”, produced in limited edition by Grafiche S.I.Z., presents a series of out of the ordinary images and montages. The print in four color process was created in sheet offset, UV lacquering with reserve, screenprint and special binding, using Hello Silk paper and Hello Gloss provided by Polyedra.
• Gruppo Graficonsul (Sansepolcro, AR)
Silver in the packaging and labeling category -The Pilsner Urquell Box made by Birra Peroni, accompanied by a promotional glass, is printed in four color process with sheet offset, UV lacquering with reserve and screen print and print in gold lamina. The paper used was Sappi Hello Silk supplied by Polyedra.
• Fantigrafica (Cremona)
Bronze in the calendar category - The calendar “Cremona 1206-2006” celebrates the eight hundredth anniversay of the town hall with images of the cultural and architectural heritage of the Lombard city.
Fantigrafica printed the calendar in six colors on a sheet offset using HannoArt Silk paper provided by Grossi Carta of Mantua.
